Job Description:

We are seeking a networking specialist to enhance our current network architecture. This individual will be in charge of planning, implementing, and overseeing our network systems. Additionally, they must be capable of troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Tasks of a Networking Specialist:

  1. Install, manage, and troubleshoot all networking hardware, including server/desktop hardware, security devices, and local and wide-area networks.
  2. Manage performance, oversee the budget, and plan resources.
  3. Establish, carry out, and uphold all computer and network system policies, guidelines, and standards.
  4. Encourage compliance and security awareness.
  5. Assist users in setting up, configuring, and maintaining software on their desktops and servers.
  6. Examine, test, diagnose, and fix issues with systems and networks.
  7. Give end users network connectivity, file and print services, and network access.
  8. Oversee all network security and operations.
  9. Create and keep up with documentation pertaining to networks.
  10. Oversee and train network operations personnel.
  11. Create, carry out, and uphold plans for business continuity and catastrophe recovery.
  12. Perform gap analysis and policy.

The duties of a networking specialist include:

  1. Create and preserve a robust internal and external network to deliver timely, pertinent information about the company’s goods and services.
  2. Assist network administrators in fixing technical problems with equipment provided by the company.
  3. Establish and manage an intranet website with calendars and content to advertise industry and internal events.
  4. Produce, revise, and disseminate internal company bulletins and newsletters.
  5. Advertise business events, goods, and services by creating a presence on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  6. Help create and organize marketing materials, such as an annual report, trade show booth, and quarterly newsletter.
  7. Help in creating and maintaining the business website
  8. Oversee the acquisition of office equipment and supplies.
  9. Track and improve the security and performance of websites.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a similar discipline, two or more years of networking experience
  2. Strong knowledge of the security, routing, and TCP/IP networking protocols
  3. Advanced familiarity with the operating systems Unix, OS/X, and Windows
