Location: Tegeta Branch, Dar es salaam

Validity period: 09/01/2025 – 23/01/2025

The Branch Manager is accountable for business growth, profitability, human resource planning and management, risk, control, and compliance.

Essential Duties

1. Lead on business growth and development of the branch agent’s network to maximize return by organizing sales drives around agents focusing on recruiting new clients.
2. Formulate strategies and guide the branch team in implementing them, concentrating on deposit mobilization and ensuring the branch targets are achieved.
3. Assure high efficiency and accuracy in all back office operations at a level that supports the front office staff and results in customer satisfaction.
4. Ensure 100% compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and that everyone understands and follows the guidelines stipulated in all policies and procedures.
5. Provide leadership to all branch staff in creating a professional team with a strong compliance environment, including ensuring regular communication of all FINCA policies and procedures.
6. Oversee Branch staffing to ensure efficiency, productivity, and smooth operations.
7. Monitor Branch performance versus plan, and explain variances and way forward.
8. Complete daily branch reports and internal audit responses according to established standards and deadlines.
9. Interpret Branch financial statements with an understanding of branch-level profit drivers, underlying causes of risk, and possible mitigation.
10. Monitor and control branch expenses to improve operational sustainability.
11. With contributions from your branch team, develop annual targets and outreach plans for the branch and submit these to your line manager for further review.
12. Manage the branch cash flow and liquidity planning through on-time submission of disbursement projections and operational expense requirements.
13. Promote the bank brand image and lead the branch team towards creating awareness of the brand and service offered by the bank and its VAS.

Qualifications

1. University Degree, preferably in Commerce and Management, Business Administration, Banking, or any other related field. MBA is an added advantage.
2. At least 3 years of work experience in a recognized Microfinance Institution in a similar position.
3. Computer Literacy.
