KIBAKWE SECONDARY SCHOOL Form Five Joining instructions

Located in Dodoma Region, Mpwapwa District, Kibakwe constituency. Mpwapwa town is accessible by direct buses from Dodoma. There are daily buses from Dodoma, leaving at 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. If you miss this transport, you may take buses to Gairo, Morogoro, or Dar Es Salaam and alight at Mbande, the junction leading to Mpwapwa and Kongwa. Please avoid vehicles heading towards Kongwa; wait for transport to Mpwapwa.

If you come from Dar Es Salaam or Morogoro, you are advised to take a direct bus to Mpwapwa, which is available daily. Without a direct bus, you may use transport to Dodoma or take alight at Mbande, where you can find transport to Mpwapwa. Again, please avoid vehicles that terminate in Kongwa.

For those traveling by train, it is recommended to alight in Dodoma town, where it is easier to find direct transport to Mpwapwa town. Buses to Mpwapwa depart from Dodoma town at Soko la Ndugai station.

Important Considerations

1. School Uniform

Girls:

  • Two short-sleeved white shirts/blouses made of citron fabric.
  • Two modest dark blue skirts with pleats (14 to 16) reaching the ankles (no V-box stitching allowed).
  • Black lace-up shoes (polished).
  • A dark blue sweater and two pairs of white socks.
  • For Muslims, a “hijab” is allowed, along with a long skirt that reaches the ankles with 14-16 pleats. Jackets are not permitted.
  • A green work dress with 14-16 pleats reaching the ankles.
  • Two red T-shirts with the school logo are available at the school for fifteen thousand shillings each.

2. Other Essential Items Students Should Bring

  • Nine 4-quire counter books.
  • Two reams of A4 paper for the year.
  • Subject-specific textbooks (a list is attached).
  • Dissecting kit for Biology students.
  • Scientific calculator for CBG and HGK students.
  • Mattress, size 6 x 2.5 x 6”.
  • Two pairs of bed sheets (blue and pink), one blanket, one mattress cover, and one mosquito net (white).
  • Sufficient underwear.
  • Eating utensils (plate, bowl, spoon, and cup).
  • Two small buckets (10 liters) with lids.
  • A hoe, rake, two brooms (one indoor and one outdoor), and a five-liter toilet cleaner (Careline) are also needed.
  • Trunk for personal belongings.
  • Form Four results slip.

Students will open an NMB or CRDB account upon arrival to simplify financial management. Parents can send money through these accounts for the student’s expenses.

The student should arrive with this letter, the acceptance form for joining Kibakwe Secondary School, and a medical certificate from a government hospital verifying their health. (Please disclose any health issues your child may have). These and other required items must be presented or handed over upon reporting to the school.

3. School Contributions

For boarding school:

  1. School Operation Contribution: 65,000/=
  2. Identification Card: 5,000/=
  3. Total: 80,000/=

All payments should be made via any NMB Bank branch or agent nationwide through account number 50401100039, named ‘KIBAKWE SECONDARY SCHOOL REVENUE COLLECTION’. Receipts (bank pay-in-slip) should be brought to the school, bearing the student’s name, grade, and subject combination on the back.

4. School Rules and Regulations

The school operates under the Education Act No. 25 of 1978, amended by Act No. 10 of 1995. It adheres to all guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and the Office of the President – TAMISEMI. You will receive a detailed copy upon reporting. Key points include:

  • Respect for leaders, parents, all staff, other students, and the community is mandatory.
  • Consistent attendance in all school and extracurricular activities per the school schedule.
  • Full participation in evening studies (Preparation).
  • Punctuality in all assigned school activities.
  • Observing the school boundaries and following all directives regarding movement within and outside the school.
  • Personal and school cleanliness.
  • Wearing the school uniform as required.
  • Adherence to the school timetable.
  • Safeguarding school property.
  • Prohibition on possessing sharp objects or medications without a doctor’s authorization.
  • Students are prohibited from changing religions or influencing others to do so while in school.

Prohibited Conduct Resulting in Expulsion:

  • Theft.
  • Absence from school for over 90 days without notice.
  • Organizing or participating in a strike.
  • Use of abusive language toward others.
  • Fighting or assaulting anyone.
  • Alcohol, drug use, or possession.
  • Smoking.
  • Sexual misconduct, same-sex relationships, marriage.
  • Pregnancy or causing pregnancy.
  • Criminal behavior or any actions violating national laws.
  • Visiting entertainment venues or guest houses.
  • Possession or use of a mobile phone within the school.
  • Disrespect for the National Flag.
  • Attempting or threatening self-harm.
  • Deliberate damage to public property.

  • Health Examination Form to be completed by the Chief Medical Officer of a government hospital.
  • Personal Information Form for Student History / Contract on Non-participation in Strikes, Riots, and Criminal Behavior.
  • Parent Agreement Form on School Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines.
  • Four photos of parents or close relatives who may visit the student at school, along with their phone numbers.
